The NetIDme campaign has been shortlisted for two CiPR awards. The Stranger Danger campaign, managed by Weber Shandwick Scotland, is up for awards in two categories: media relations and consumer relations.

NetIDme won the prestigious Sabre award for media relations earlier this year.

Liberty Alliance, the global identity consortium working to build a more trusted Internet for consumers, governments and businesses worldwide, today announced winners of the 2007 IDDY (Identity Deployment of the Year) Award.

This year Liberty Alliance awarded four IDDYs recognizing digital identity management applications built using Liberty’s open, privacy-respecting and proven interoperable identity specifications. Winners were announced at DIDW 2007 where eBIZ.mobility, the New Zealand Government, NTT Labs and Rearden Commerce were awarded the 2007 IDDY.

NetIDme OpenID Latest Developments 

Yes. Web applications are one of the primary use cases for CardSpace and the goal is for all browsers, including to support it.

Smartcards and CardSpace can work with one another. CardSpace is a digital representation of a user’s identity as issued by a particular Identity Provider. When the customer selects a Card such as their NetIDme card) to use, such as when logging into an online account, or performing an online payment, it results in sending a request to a Security Token Server (STS) at the Identity Provider to generate a security token of a requested type. Sometimes the user needs to provide a credential, such as a PIN or password, to the Security Token Server. A Smartcard may be used as such a credential.
